ExploreGit (exploregit.com) is a tool for discovering and exploring GitHub repositories. It is operated as an independent project.

When you sign in with GitHub OAuth, we collect:

We do not collect your email address, private repository data, or any GitHub access tokens beyond what is needed to complete sign-in.

When you subscribe to Pro, Stripe processes your payment. We receive and store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status. We never see or store your card details.

We log server-side errors and aggregate API usage for debugging and capacity planning.

3. How we use your data

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties except as described in this policy.

4. Cookies

We use one first-party session cookie named gx_session to keep you signed in. It is httpOnly (not readable by JavaScript) and expires after 7 days.

Google AdSense may set third-party cookies to show relevant advertisements to free-tier users. You can opt out via Google Ad Settings.

Your account data is retained while your account is active. If you cancel your Pro subscription, your account data remains but your Pro benefits end at the current billing period.
